The family service at St Peter's Church this Sunday is at 11am and includes baptism.

Kathy Stone was the guest speaker of the Powick Guild in April. She told members that as they get less active, they need to stimulate both mind and body. She demonstrated several apparently easy exercise routines and explained that it is important to drink 6-8 cups of fluid each day and try to keep fingers, arms and legs moving, even when sitting down.

Edna Jenkins thanked the speaker for one of the best afternoons they had had. Tea was served by Thea Wild and Edna White. The outing on Tuesday, June 14 will be to Eastnor Castle (sharing transport and petrol costs). Details from Rita de Boer on (01905) 830256.

Next Tuesday, May 12 Powick Ramblers will be walking around Upton. Meet at Upton Church (car park opposite) for a four-mile walk led by Peter Harris, (01905) 830628.

The annual parish meeting will be held at Powick Parish Hall on Tuesday, May 24 at 7.30pm. Everyone in the parish is welcome to come and find out what facilities the parish has to offer, to meet your parish councillors and discover what responsibilities they have.
