BRIAN Draper gave a talk entitled "What is a River?" at the April meeting.
He likened rivers of the UK and the world to the foibles of human nature, illustrating his point with slides.
The next meeting will be on May 9, at 2.30pm at Heightington village hall, when resolutions will be discussed and voted on, in preparation for the national annual meeting at the Royal Albert Hall.
