MANY people who read the Shuttle/Times & News travel by rail. Perhaps some are reading this letter on a train.

The Government's Strategic Rail Authority has asked people in Kidderminster to comment on proposals for the future of rail travel in the area.

These proposals include gains (improved train frequencies for Kidderminster during the day.) But they also include losses. There are also some ideas where the Government wants to judge the level of support (additional peak period services to Kidderminster.)

The consultation will influence what happens for the next 10 years. Passengers - and potential passengers - must make their voice heard.

Shuttle/Times & News readers can download an electronic version, or order a paper copy, of the Government's proposals from the SRA website at www.sra.gov.uk.

Look for West Midlands Route Utilisation Strategy. You can also phone 020 7654 6000 to get a copy.

The strategy document tells you where to send your comments. The closing date is Friday, May 27.

You can also send your comments to the Midlands Rail Passenger Council at Freepost WA121, Warrington WA4 6GP or email us at info@railpassen

gers.org.uk.

If you, or your friends and family, use the railways - for work, education, business or pleasure - this is your chance to make an impact on their future.
