WE would like to congratulate Ann Lyman for once again organising a very successful May Day Fair along the Bewdley riverside and town centre.
Although the day started off with a few showers the sun shone for the remainder of the day and at times it became difficult to walk along Severnside North because of the hundreds of people there enjoying the charity stalls and entertainment.
The clog and line dancing were very successful, as was the maypole dancing and the tea dance which was held in the town hall.
We would also like to thank all those who took part in the events and for giving their time to entertain us.
The car parks were full for most of the day and the park-and-ride system which alleviates the parking problems on a busy Saturday was well used.
Ann and her helpers, Maggie Dalloway, Barbara Stallwood and Vicki Thorpe, tell us next year will be even better.
