THERE is an old saying in football , "Never go back to a previous club".

How true that has turned out to be for the Harriers this season, with the club's proud record of never being relegated in shreds thanks to a management performance of arrogance and delusions of grandeur by Jan Molby, which must rank as one of the worst in Football League history.

Chairman Colin Youngjohns must also carry the can for such a disastrous season by cutting the playing budget and then rubber-stamping Molby's signings, not one of which have turned out to be of any use.

And then, when the club was rooted to the bottom of the league and Molby had jumped ship, Youngjohns decided it was an ideal time to go away on holiday.

The chairman's answer to being relegated to the Conference and the obvious financial implications, is to keep admission prices at Football League levels.

In other words, the long-suffering fans will have to pick up the bill for the incompetence of the chairman and Molby. What a way to thank the fans for supporting the club during this shambles of a season.

ANOTHER disgraceful performance on Saturday, to go along with all the other disgraceful games that I and the rest of the very faithful Kidderminster Harriers fans have had to witness.

I have seen all home games and nearly all away at, might I add, considerable expense.

I would not mind, but most of the players are not even Southern League class.

I have analysed Mr Watkiss's performance since he arrived in December. To say it is appalling is an understatement: played 26 games, won seven, drawn five, lost 14.

When he arrived, there were 78 points available. His record - 26 points.

He never got the team out of the bottom three, and all I keep reading in the press and on the web is his excuses, and criticisms of players. You do not hear good managers go on about their players.

I ask Mr Watkiss to resign, along with Gary Barnett, before they both do any more damage to a great and wonderful club.

Now is the time for Mr Watkiss and his assistant to go.

I WOULD like to reply to the person who wrote to your Harriers page last week with their comments on the Harriers situation.

I very much doubt that Messrs Youngjohns, Norgrove and Baldwin wished the Harriers back into the Conference, they would have little to gain by doing so.

I am sure they would like the Harriers to remain League Two.

On the Molby subject, Jan who?

The board must take some blame for giving him a second chance, but your letter writer's advice for the board to "Do us all a favour and go" is a little unfair.

Who would they like to take over? A cash injection is badly needed but from where?

If they know I am sure the board would like to know.

I could be wrong but the present board are probably giving their time and effort free, like so many others in the past did for the club, so why knock them?

I recently heard that Colin Youngjohns suffered a stroke early this year, but rather than resign he is going to carry on.

Well done Colin, I hope you will soon be well.

Good luck to Colin and the Harriers for 2005/06 in the Conference.
