I AM writing to let you know about a fantastic new fund-raising challenge in support of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.

The Fund was set up after the death of my husband, Bobby, who died from bowel cancer in 1993.

Project Brazil, sponsored by Citigroup, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit rural Brazil and help the local community to restore their school, which will enable them to be educated at home.

We will also help build a fantastic football pitch for the locals.

The project runs from November 20 - 29 and will be based in the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, which is recognised as a World Heritage site due to its outstanding natural beauty.

To join us on this fabulous journey you have to be over the age of 18, pay a registration fee and then pledge to raise a minimum of £3,500.

No experience is needed, just determination and a sense of adventure.

All the money raised will go towards the Bobby Moore Fund to raise funds for the vital research into bowel cancer.

You can find out more about Project Brazil by visiting www.cancer researchuk.org/challenges, calling 0870 850 8735 or emailing challenges @cancer.org.uk.

STEPHANIE MOORE,

The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.
