KIDDERMINSTER Carolians all-conquering under-11s have been tipped for a bright future after being described as one of the best junior rugby side's the club has produced.

Coach Steve Timms' squad have won 17 of their 21 matches, conceding just 13 tries, and notching up a string of notable league and tournament successes along the way.

Their highlights include winning the Birmingham and Solihull Festival and giving Worcester a run for their money in the long-established Gallis Festival at Dudley Kingswinford.

Former tournament president John Gallis said: "This is without doubt the best under 11 side to emerge from Kidderminster since the festival was established."

The squad, whose biggest score of the season was their 49-0 win over Malvern, has been together for four years and are sponsored by Brockencote Hall Hotel.

Coach Timms believes his players are destined for first team places at top adult clubs across Worcestershire and Shropshire.

The under-11s added to their list of achievements with success at the Sutton Coldfield festival.

They won the tournament byscoring more points overall than the hosts who they held 0-0 in the final. Julian Pettijean was player of the tournament.
