DAVE Williams, of Kidderminster, came third in last Thursday's Cost-Cutter match on the Meadow Pool at Moorlands Farm, with a catch of 68lb 5oz of fish from peg 15.

The event, which was contested by 28 anglers, was won by Andy Newton, of Shimano Tipton, with a 82lb 7oz result from peg 39, and in second place was Moorlands' own Richard Massey with 76lb 4oz from peg 59.

Massey was third the previous day in the Wednesday Open, which was won by Colin Bennett, of Worcester, with Mick Henshall, of Leftovers second.
