The first round of the Nuneaton and District Junior League, regarded as the top competition in the area for swimmers between nine and 12, was held the previous week.

Wyre Forest compete in Division One of the league, despite being threatened with relegation last year. There were 47 best times recorded by Wyre Forest youngsters, and the team gained eight first places, six seconds and 11 thirds.
