FOUR points from three games is the target for Bidford to guarantee the championship of the Herald first division of the Stratford Alliance.

A 5-0 win over Badsey United Res on Saturday kept up the pressure on rivals Alcester Lions, who hammered basement club Tysoe, and Cubbington, who were in cup action.

Bidford's goals came from Brett Green, Wayne Gould, Alex Banks, Nick Higginson and Chris Rowberry.

Lions stay top on goal difference after their 4-0 romp at Tysoe, thanks to a pair from Mike Hodgetts and one each from Wayne Cox and Ian Shadlock.

Cubbington, who will be hoping to make up ground at home to Studley Nags Head on Saturday, made it to the final of the RM Smith Cup with a 3-0 victory over Badsey Rangers. Phil McGarvey hit two and Chris Marriott the other one.

Broadway United stay fourth after a 3-2 win at FISSC Reserves was helped by two own goals. Rich Craig was the only Broadway player on the scoresheet and FISSC's two came from Rich Foreman and Steve Titmus.

In the only Journal Division One match, Steve Ordidge hit a hat-trick for second-placed Halfords as they beat Badsey Utd 5-1.
