ON April 12, the Wives enjoyed a fascinating evening with Irene Page, who gave a talk with sides and music about the history and meanings behind favourite nursery rhymes, many of which date back to medieval times.
Valerie Huckell gave the vote of thanks and Dorothy Busby won the raffle.
Chairman Vickie Barker welcomed Shirley Guillume to the committee. The birthday meal was held yesterday at Rossini's.
The next meeting takes place at Alcester Methodist Church on May 10 at 8pm, with a talk by reflexologist Carol Tither.
