PUPILS will have lessons in blue sky thinking thanks to a "fantastic" new open-air "classroom".
On Wednesday, Ronkswood Infants School, opened the new facility - which is joined to a conventional classroom - to the delight of both pupils and parents.
"The pupils absolutely love it," said Nicola Williams, the Foundation stage manager at the school.
"They have been heavily involved in planning and planting and they are really proud of their efforts," she added.
A garden area is included, and there are plans to include a vegetable patch.
And the enthusiasm has spread to parents - one has even donated a bird table so that pupils can watch the gathering flocks at their school in St Albans Close, Worcester.
"Its is an essential part of the foundation stage curriculum," added Ms Williams.
"Children need to be able to express themselves physically as well as through painting and indoor based learning,"
