Evesham and District Airgun League
CAMPDEN RBL notched up the highest score of the week in a comfortable victory over Badsey Rec with the ever consistent Bob Pitcher recording a maximum.
However, it's Badsey's other team from the Legion that is currently holding sway at the top of the table.
Their latest win over the New Inn was achieved in inevitably easy fashion with John Richards and Ian Davies sharing the scoring honours in a 17-point win with 47.
Two other sides in the thick of the championship chase locked horns and it was the Lygon who came out on top with just two points to spare at Stanton Club.
Ron Rose high scored for the hosts with 48, while Ian Harwood matched that tally for the winners.
Offenham RBL stayed in touch at the top with a 12-point success at Bengeworth SSC helped by Jamie Beadle's 48.
Nomads had just two points to spare at Wickhamford SSC and were indebted to the pair of 46s recorded by Andrew Print and John Shrimpton.
Results: Wickhamford SSC 265 (A Beadle 46), Nomads 267 (J Shrimpton, A Print 46); Badsey Rec 264 (A Green 49), Campden RBL 282 (R Pitcher 50); Stanton Club 278 (R Rose 48), Lygon Arms 280 (I Harwood 48); Bengeworth SSC 254 (D Littlewood, 45), Offenham RBL 266 (J Beadle 48); New Inn 256 (P Skrypczuk 47), Badsey RBL 273 (J Richards, I Davies 47).
