MOBILE phone owners have been warned to be on their guard following a spate of thefts.
Between 8.30am and 8.40am on Monday, March 14, a maroon Vauxhall Cavalier parked near Kidderminster town centre was broken into and a black and silver Motorola V545 mobile phone was stolen.
Just after 8am the following day, thieves took a silver NEC camera mobile from a white Ford Escort parked in Coventry Street.
Later the same day, between 6.30pm and 6.40pm, a 20-year-old man was walking along Wilton Avenue when he took his phone out of his pocket to read a text message.
Some youths then cycled up to him and one of them grabbed his mobile.
The group then rode off in the direction of Franche First School.
A police spokesman said: "Never leave your mobile phone on display in your car and ensure that all windows are closed.
"Also take care when using your phone in a public place."
