THE Gloucestershire County Champion-ships staged in Cheltenham saw Linda Haines take the ladies title with a fantastic score of 580 out of 600.
The Evesham shooter faced a titanic battle with former Great Britain international Pat Lowe before winning with just a single point to spare.
So much in command were the ladies that they finished 17 points ahead of the first placed male competitor.
Evesham's up and coming member John Dixon finished a creditable fourth with a score of 555.
There was a good turnout for the club's last indoor event - the Handicap Shoot - when Adam Stead (1447) came out on top. Simon Tarplee and Bob Smith came equal second two points adrift.
