BROADWAY Golf Club's ladies needed a play-off to make progress in this year's Mail on Sunday competition.
Facing Cotswolds rivals Naunton Downs, the sides were tied at 3-3 in their second round clash but Linda Carruthers notched up a vital win on the 19th hole to ensure a place in then next round.
The club's latest win follows a 4-1 defeat of Cleeve Cloud in the opening round.
The ladies who have steered Broadway successfully through two rounds are captain Jen Doran, Carruthers, Sue Edwards, Kathryn Morris, Denise Parker, Linda Everitt, Pauline O'Hagan, Vicky Watkins and Pat Green.
Doran's charges will be hoping to match Broadway's efforts in 2003 when they qualified for the UK finals.
