THERE was an Irish theme to the spring group meeting held on March 17 at Clows Top Village Hall, with green table decorations and the competition being "Something Irish."

Barbara Lees, president of the hostess institute, Mamble cum Bayton, welcomed visiting members from Bockleton, St. Michael's, Tenbury Wells and Menith Wood.

WI advisor Chris Marriott gave details of the marketing and promotion committee who will hold a promotional day in Tenbury Wells. WFWI executive member Janis Jones spoke about WI House in Worcester.

Entertainment was provided by Tony Chipp and Anne Bucknall of the Stourport Writers' Guild, who performed their "Poems and Humorous Monologues." The competition for an Irish item was awarded to Menith Wood, who also won the word quiz.

The autumn group meeting will be held on October 20 at Lindridge Village Hall, when Menith Wood will be the hostess institute.
