KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have been fined £6,000 for fielding an unregistered player in two games.
Portsmouth striker James Keene, who spent a month on loan at Aggborough earlier this season, was unregistered for the defeats against Bristol Rovers and Chester last October.
Harriers accepted the charge before a Football League disciplinary commission and were dealt a fine of £6,000 with an additional fine of £6,000 suspended for the next two years.
The relegation-threatened Coca Cola League Two club were also told to meet the cost of the hearing.
Harriers chairman Colin Youngjohns said: "Steps have already been taken to ensure this type of administrative error never happens again."
