FOLLOWING three successive wins, Radar visited Droitwich for the third week running to take on top-of-the-table Droitwich Spa Reserves.
DROITWICH SPA RES 2, MALVERN RADAR 0
Radar were unlucky to have Chris Grubb's goal ruled out for offside on 20 minutes. The home side promptly went up the other end and took the lead.
A left-wing corner from Gary Cleaver was not struck too well but the ball somehow eluded three Radar defenders and Ben Waldman was on hand to force the ball over the goal-line from close range.
Radar struggled to create any real chances with Lee Hooper having the best chance only to head Clive Churchill's free kick straight into keeper Simon Denby's hands. The keeper then did well to push Hooper's curling shot around the post. In between these two efforts, Droitwich had increased their lead when Nick West blasted the ball into the corner of the net following a scramble in Radar's six yard box. Andy Bottomley had a fine game in Radar's defence.
This Sunday Radar are away to All Blacks, meet RSRE Club 9.30am.
