n UPTON'S David Yates has been appointed director of business networking group Three Counties BNI. The organisation, which has members across Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, meets weekly to exchange business referrals. Mr Yates, managing director of design company Creative Thing Ltd, will help the organisation to increase its membership and build on the success of the past five years.

n TODDLER group Welland Teddy Bears used pedal power to raise about £100 for ChildLine. Twenty youngsters took part in a sponsored pedal push in Welland Village Hall on Monday. The event was one of many held nationally to mark ChildLine's 18th birthday. All who took part received a medal, sticker and Easter egg.

n A fish and chip supper and bingo night takes place at Upton Memorial Hall at 7.30pm on Thursday, March 31. The event, organised by the Upton Tourist Information Centre, will raise funds for the Rotary Club's Tsunami appeal. n A CRAFT fair takes place at Upton Memorial Hall tomorrow (Saturday), Sunday and Monday. Organised by the Three Shires Craft Guild, it will feature a large number of stalls selling art and crafts. It runs from 10am to 4pm each day and admission is free.

n ANGELS will again descend on St Nicholas' Church in Earls Croome. The successful Host of Angels exhibition opens on Monday (March 28). It will be on show every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday until September. Opening times are 2pm to 5pm. For more information, call 01386 751466.

n AUDITIONS for the Peppercorns' production of Oliver! take place on Tuesday (March 29) at Upton Scout Hut, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The youth theatre group is in particular need of male actors aged seven to 21.

n A FOOTBALL coaching week takes place at Upton's Hill Centre from April 4 to 8, for seven to 13-year-olds. It includes competitions, coaching, mini tournaments and shootouts. Places are limited to 40 and should be reserved on 01684 592363.
