TWO teenage boys received hospital treatment following an attack by a fellow passenger travelling on a bus towards Pershore.
The two boys were sitting at the rear of the 551 First National Bus service at around 5.45pm last Thursday before the incident occurred. Shortly after the Drakes Broughton stop a male passenger ran at the pair punching, kicking and biting them. Their attacker is believed to have boarded the bus at Worcester's Elgar statue at around 5.20pm.
Both victims left the bus after the attack and received hospital treatment for various injuries. The suspect stayed on the bus and it is unclear when he eventually left the vehicle. Neither teenager knew the man but both of them have seen him travelling on the bus on previous occasions.
Police spokesman Richard Bull said: "This appears to be an unprovoked attack on two teenagers by a man they don't know but who they had previously seen travelling on the same route.
"We would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or who knows the identity of the attacker."
Anyone with further information about the alleged assault should call police on 08457 444888 quoting 111C/170305, and ask for PC Paul Whitehouse on extension 3628.
