BOGUS workmen conned their way into the home of an elderly Kidderminster couple.
The couple, in their 80s and 90s, of the town's Rifle Range area, opened the door to two white men who claimed there was a break in a water pipe and that they needed to turn the water off.
They were admitted to the house where one distracted the couple, while the other entered various rooms. Nothing, however, was stolen, during the incident, at around noon, last Thursday.
The first man was described as aged about 30, 6ft 4ins tall and of medium build, with collar-length dark hair and wearing a light-coloured jacket.
The second was about 50, 5ft 8ins and of medium build. He had collar-length brown hair and was wearing a fawn-coloured jacket or pullover.
Police were investigating whether the incident was linked to other distraction burglaries in the Kidderminster and Bromsgrove areas.
