TV favourite Russ Abbot is heading an all-star cast for the Oscar Wilde comedy Lord Arthur Savile's Crime, coming to Malvern next week.

The comedy star has been making a name for himself as a top class straight actor on stage and television, taking lead West End roles in My Fair Lady, Oliver! and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He is now playing the title role of the amiable Lord Arthur who, before his society wedding, visits a clairvoyant who tells him that before he can marry, he must commit murder.

The play is a new adaptation of Wilde's short story. Sara Crowe, Susan Penhaligon and Barry Howard also star in the show which runs from Monday to Saturday at the Malvern Festival Theatre. Call the box office on 01684 892277.
