KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Stuart Watkiss admits his feelings about meeting Mansfield for the first time since he left them will be overshadowed by the magnitude of Monday's game.

The Bank Holiday showdown at at 3pm at Aggborough will be the first time the Harriers manager has crossed paths with the Stags since his sacking in December 2002.

But while Watkiss hopes to be remembered fondly for leading Mansfield to promotion from the old Division Three, he is more concerned with his present problems, than his former glories.

Watkiss recently spoke to the Stags board for the first time since his departure when enquiring about the availability of midfielder Wayne Corden.

He said: "It will be the first time that I've played them since I left but I think it will be all about us getting points that we need rather than me and my Mansfield connections.

"It will be nice to see a few familiar faces and I do look back on my time at Field Mill with fondness and am proud of what I achieved there.

"I hope that the Mansfield fans and the powers that be remember me as someone who did his best, but I have to worry about this football club now."

Harriers and Notts County have been charged by the FA following a scuffle towards the end of their League Two clash on March 12.

Both clubs have been charged with failing to ensure players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and have until March 30 to respond to the charge.
