COFFEE MORNING: Willersey Footlights will be holding a coffee morning on Saturday, April 23 from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the village hall. Any offers of help on the day, contributions for the stalls and raffle, are invited. Inquiries to Mal Jelfs on 01386 858351. Proceeds from the morning are needed to cover some of the expense of presenting the 'best ever' show to be staged at the hall on May 20 and 21.

WILLERSEY FOOTLIGHTS: Since its formation in 1986 the Footlights has raised more than £9,000 for local and national charities. Rehearsals are under way for a show, which promises to be on a grander scale than normal, to be presented in a marquee at the village hall on Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21. Tickets at £7.50 (children under 14 £5) will be on sale at Willersey and Broadway post offices, together with programmes at 50p each, from mid-April. Inquiries to Neville Jelfs (858351) or Maurice Andrews (858448). Any offers of help on the days of the show, in whatever capacity, will be welcome.

MOBILE LIBRARY: The next visit of the mobile library will be on Tuesday at Collin Close (2.40pm) and Bell Inn (3.05pm).

MOBILE POLICE STATION: The next visit, together with the Cotswold District Council Advice Unit, will be on April 21.

WEDNESDAY CLUB: At their first March meeting members heard a talk by Nicholas Clark. On this return visit his subject was Rajasthan, India's Warrior State. New members are welcome at the fortnightly meetings, beginning at 2.45pm.

WEIGHT-RESTRICTION ORDER: In the absence of any positive action by Gloucestershire County Council, the parish council has again written to the county council and to the Department of Transport, asking for an update report, hopefully to be received for presentation at the annual parish meeting which was due to be held yesterday.
