HOUSEHOLDERS are being warned to be on their guard after reports of a woman knocking on doors claiming her car has broken down.
The woman calls at residential addresses claiming she has left a young child in the vehicle and asking for money for petrol.
There have been several incidents in and around Kidderminster and Stourport-on-Severn over the past few weeks.
At one incident the woman was described as aged 17 or 18 with long blonde hair, 5ft tall, and wearing a beige or white Adidas jacket, with a stripy jumper underneath.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
