SPORTS EDITOR'S MAILBAG
IF current speculation is to be believed, I find it incredible that Danny Williams could be on his way out of the Harriers.
In our present precarious position, how can the player who has been the most consistent performer over the last 18 months be allowed to leave?
Surely supporters are entitled to an explanation as to why this can be allowed to happen.
Re-signing the likes of Ian Foster and Abdou Sall is another backward move.
I think that it would have made more sense to have targeted players like Andy White, who performed so well during his recent spell with us, and seemed to get better every game.
By bringing in more gifted players where possible and not letting any go, the Harriers would be at the top end of the table where we belong.
I don't blame Jan Molby for our present position but if he had seen the great form of Danny in our quest for a play-off spot last season, there is no way he would ever consider selling such a crucial player.
I sincerely hope that Danny stays for the good of the club.
