AMBITIOUS Jan Molby would love to reach the top rung of the managerial ladder.

"I think all managers would like to go the top and have a crack at the big time. If it happens that would be fantastic. If it doesn't I can live with it," said Molby.

"I had a little spell out of work after Swansea and I wouldn't like to go through that again. I'd like it to re-main that way for the next 20 to 25 years."

The former Swansea chief, however, has no doubt about his immediate aim - and that's to make Kidderminster a force to be reckoned with in the Third Division next season.

"That's the main thing and we'll try to bring them more success," said Molby who is determined to build even further on the foundations laid by former manager Graham Allner and ex-chairman David Reynolds.

"What they gave was fantastic. To walk into a club like Kidderminster on the foundations that were already there made the job for me so much easier.

"The ground is up to Football League standard and that's all down to the previous people. David Reynolds was part of that and there are a number of the Board still here. Graham Allner, of course, brought the club success for many years and that was fantastic."

Molby, however, admits that he still has a long way to go if he is to climb to the top of the managerial tree.

The former Liverpool and Danish international said: "I know there's an awful lot of work to do before that's possible, but we'll keep trying and be as ambitious as we possibly can."
