WORCESTER will give an outing to trialist Tom Richardson when they take a strong second team to Leicester Tigers tonight (7.30).

Richardson, a scrum-half previously with Gloucester, is hoping to impress Worcester's coaching staff although Director of Rugby Les Cusworth stressed: "He is playing purely on a trial basis."

Worcester are putting out a strong side for the clash at Welford Road, including winger Nick Baxter and centres Shaun Woof and Jamie Connolly, all of whom were in the starting line-up for Saturday's narrow Allied Dunbar Premiership Two victory over Orrell.

Leicester also plan to field a strong squad including experienced centre Stuart Potter and promising back-row forward Lewis Moody.

Cusworth said: "They have done us the compliment of fielding a strong side with a lot of First Division experience."
