Feckenham. When the news was received at this village on the serious illness of His Majesty the King and that the coronation was postponed, it caused a feeling akin to consternation.

The coronation committee were very anxious to know the latest news and made frequent inquiries by telegraph and other ways as to the condition of his Majesty and when the royal order was issued that the coronation festivities were to go on, it gave great pleasure to everyone, especially to the committee, who had worked energetically and had made every arrangement for the celebration on Friday the 27th ult.
