RECORD-breaking Nick Baxter has Worcester in his sights as he goes in search of a century of tries in Saturday's National One clash of the day (2.15pm).

Birmingham & Solihull's wing ace, who left Sixways last summer following a fabulous six-year stay, lines up against his former club hoping to create more National League history.

Baxter recorded his 99th try two weeks ago to post a new league record and is now intent on hitting the 100 mark -- against his ex-employers.

He is the league's top try scorer this season with 11 so far and would dearly love to mark Worcester's visit to Sharmans Cross Road with a century.

"It would be lovely to make it 100 against Worcester," he said. "I want them to get into the Premiership, there are no sour grapes on my part because they gave me a great career, but it would be nice to get to 100 against them.

"I wish them all the best apart from the two games against Birmingham this season!

"I am really looking forward to the game -- I'm on my 99th league try and we owe them one after they beat us at Sixways earlier in the season."

Worcester overwhelmed the Bees 53-3 in September in a game featuring a masterclass from Craig Chalmers and Ben Clarke. Clarke takes his place in the squad for the must-win clash after recovering from a hamstring injury.

And for Worcester head coach John Brain, last year's big win over Birmingham will mean very little when the two sides go head-to-head again at the weekend.

"Birmingham are a side who can beat anyone in this league on their day," he said. "Nick Baxter is a good player but we won't be making any special plans for him. We know Nick will be a threat, however. He will certainly be highly motivated.

"Last season Worcester were lucky to escape from there with a draw so we are under no illusions about how tough the game will be. This, however, is the sort of test we need before our next away league match at Rotherham."
