OVER £180 was raised for the Studley Roman Catholic Church restoration fund as the result of a successful garden fete held at Haye Farm, Mappleborough Green, last Saturday.
The event was organised jointly by members of the Catholic Young Men's Society and the Catholic Women's League and the gardens at Haye Farm were used at the invitation of Mr and Mrs G B King.
Favoured by fine weather, the event attracted a large number of parishioners and visitors and the well laden stalls did a brisk business.
