JAMES Brown will make his first Worcester Rugby Club start since September as the National One leaders face Orrell on Sunday.

The fly-half replaces former Scottish international Craig Chalmers who is ruled out with a thigh strain for the 2pm clash at Edge Hall Road.

Brown only returned to action last month after back surgery ruled him out of action for three months.

And with Tim Walsh still on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, Brown gets his chance in Wigan.

Worcester, however, are sweating on the fitness of Gary Trueman who injured an ankle in Saturday's win over Bedford.

Trueman will have a late fitness test on Sunday morning to see if he is able to play.

If he cannot prove his fitness, Will Wigram will step into the side for his first start since his December move from Wasps.

Director of rugby John Brain will make a last minute decision on replacements and if Trueman is ruled out, Hugo Southwell is likely to come in on the bench.

"We probably won't be able to finalise things until Sunday morning because of Gary's injury," said Brain.
