KIDDERMINSTER Harriers suffered a second defeat within three days with a surprise 4-3 defeat to Dr Martens outfit Solihull Borough yesterday.

Ian Britton's side started brightly and were ahead after just five minutes when Sam Shilton turned in an Ian Foster cross.

Foster added a second from the penalty spot after being upended by Morton Titterton.

Despite the early setbacks, Borough continued to compete and pulled one back when poor defending allowed Nick Amos to swivel and volley past Stuart Brock.

Titterton levelled the match when he swept in a corner at the near post.

After the break Hateley in the home goal made a string of saves with Daire Doyle and Shilton spurning chances.

Harriers however regained the lead on the hour, a sweeping crossfield pass by Scott Stamps found Foster on the right and he beat the full back and squared the ball for Andrew Corbett to finish from close range.

Solihull equalised 16 minutes from time with former Harriers trialist Alex Lobban curling his shot past John Danby.

Two minutes later another set-piece led to Harriers' downfall, a deep free-kick out of defence was knocked on to former Worcester City and Harriers striker Mark Shepherd who headed in who was injured in the process and had to be substituted for a second time.

Harriers next friendly is at Aggborough on Wednesday when they entertain Dave Jones' Wolverhampton Wanderers side.
