GOLF enthusiast Craig Hinton believes Kidderminster Harriers will eventually get into the swing of Division Three this season under new management team Jan Molby and Gary Barnett.

The defender, forced to play as a makeshift left-back due to Scott Stamps' injury, said two good away results at Swansea and Northampton had boosted confidence.

But Saturday's home defeat to Doncaster made it clear there was plenty more hard work to do and patience required if Harriers are to pull away from the relegation zone.

Hinton admitted: "There's a lot more confidence at the club but Jan and Gary are still trying to build it up.

"Everyone was disappointed with the Doncaster result but you've got to give it time and the situation will turn around. The signs are already there.

"There's 30 games left and we've all got to work hard to get through it."

It has not been easy for centre-half Hinton playing out of position but he said: "I've just tried to be steady.

"I'm not trying anything too over-elaborate as I know my limits.

"We need to be tougher mentally and this week I think we will be doing a lot of ball work in training and working as a team."

The lack of numbers in attack is also a worry for Hinton but he insisted Harriers must chip in with more goals from all over the pitch.

He added: "It's been tough for John Williams and Matt Lewis when they have been the lone forward.

"We had chances against Doncaster but didn't take them and then we conceded to sloppy goals when they didn't really look like scoring."
