CLUB captain Bruce Fenley and leading points scorer Tony Yapp both return for the trip to Orrell on Saturday as Worcester bid to get their promotion hopes back on course.

The scrum-half and stand-off come in for Sililo Martens and new signing David Pears who started last week's 12-6 defeat against Leeds.

Yapp was unavailable last week due to illness, while Fenley has been a spectator for two of the last three games and came on as a replacement for the Leeds fixture but both return for Saturday's trip to struggling Orrell (3pm).

Fenley will also resume the captaincy held by Chris Raymond during his absence. The only other change from last week sees lock Richard Denhardt start in place of former England international Dave Sims.

Yapp has been on a seven-day course of penicillin for tonsillitis and Les Cusworth said the player has not been feeling well for a month.

"It was a real blow not to have him fit for last Saturday," said the director of rugby.

"We've brought him back with Bruce because we wanted more control and our kicking last week was aimless.

"Our defence has been good, but we need more confidence with the ball in hand and to kick with more purpose."

Worcester have now lost four out of their last six league and cup games games so must win all of their last 12 games to have a chance of winning the Premiership Two title.

They now have a sequence of four matches against struggling teams with trips to Orrell and Waterloo followed by home fixtures with West Hartlepool and Wakefield.

But Worcester needed an injury time try from flanker Nigel Richardson to record a narrow 13-9 victory at Orrell last season.

"Every game is vital now and the club is disappointed after Saturday and taken a long hard look at it," added Cusworth.

"It's never easy at Orrell and I'm sure they're looking forward to locking horns with Worcester."
