ORGANISERS hailed Saturday's official launch of the Kidderminster Harriers Independent Supporters Trust (KHIST) a success.

Around 150 fans attended the meeting after the Scunthorpe match along with Wyre Forest MP Dr Richard Taylor and Supporters Direct representatives.

Chairman Colin Youngjohns, manager Ian Britton and ex-Harriers chief Lionel Newton, who remains a firm supporter of the club, were also there.

The trust is hoping to raise enough cash to buy shares and appoint a representative on the club's board, if the membership agree.

Nearly £1,000 has been raised with the help of a raffle, membership fees, donations and bucket collections.

The trust will now target shareholders, fans and businesses for support.
