KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Ian Britton has started fashioning his side for next season by signing Ian Foster, Scott Stamps and John Danby on new contracts.

Left-back Stamps has signed a two-year deal while striker Foster and goalkeeper Danby have both agreed one-year contracts.

Britton now hopes to persuade Richie Appleby to stay at Aggborough although former Harriers manager Jan Molby wants the influential midfielder to join him at Hull City.

Foster was Kidderminster's top scorer last season with ten goals in all competitions. Britton said: "Fozzie wanted to stay and I wanted to keep him here. We all know what he is capable of when he is on top form."

On Stamps' decision to stay, he said: "I still believe he has far more to offer as a player and, if he achieves his full potential, he can become the best left-back in this division."

Danby signed non-league forms for Harriers towards the end of last season after progressing through the youth and reserve sides, and made two first-team substitute appearances.

Britton said: "John has done well in our youth and reserve sides and has all the attributes of a good goalkeeper."

Britton is hopeful that Appleby will stay at Aggborough. He said: "If we can get Richie, that will be the icing on the cake. I think he genuinely wants to stay at Kidderminster Harriers."
