KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Ian Britton will be checking on a number of injuries before making his final selection plans for tomorrow's pre-season friendly at Midland Alliance outfit Boldmere St Michael's (3pm).

Danish front-runner Bo Henriksen, last season's leading marksman, has Achilles tendon trouble while defender Lee Ayres has picked up an ankle injury.

Left-back Scott Stamps has also required treatment for a groin strain.

Britton will again use the match to run the rule over a number of trialists including striker Kyle Lightbourne, who was with Macclesfield last season, and centre-back Adam Willis who has been released by Swindon Town.

Harriers will be aiming for their third successive pre-season friendly victory, having won 3-1 at Evesham United and 1-0 at Stratford Town.

Meanwhile, Stourport Swifts are hoping to switch striker Kerry Giddings into a new midfield role to compensate for the loss of Simon Marsh.

Swifts, who begin their build-up at Bromyard Town tomorrow (3pm), lost Marsh to rivals Evesham United last week.

Manager Dave Titterton said: "Kerry's strengths are with the ball at his feet running at people but he's not going to score enough goals at this standard to play up front.

"I've spoken to him and feel he will be better running from deep."
