KIDDERMINSTER Harriers chief Jan Molby has ruled himself out of contention for the vacant manager's job at Premiership basement club Bradford City.

A couple of years ago the former Liverpool star turned down the chance of becoming assistant boss at Valley Parade.

He said: "I think what they need is an experienced manager there. Where they get that from I don't know, but it wont be me.

"I am here to do a job. I've signed a four year contract and have still got a lot of work to do. I'm still up for it and looking forward to every game."

Bradford parted company with manager Chris Hutchings and first team coach Malcolm Shotton earlier this month.

Stuart McCall, who is currently operating as caretaker boss, said: "We need someone who has been there, seen it and done it. But above all he needs to be lucky."

FA technical director Howard Wilkinson is the latest to be linked with the job, although he has been approached several times in the past by his former side Sheffield Wednesday and indicated his wasn't keen to go back to club management.

Meanwhile, Molby has confirmed he has held talks with midfield player Andrew Brownrigg who left Kidderminster for Scottish League Division One club Greenock Morton in the summer for £25,000.

Harriers have still not received any money for him with Brownrigg claiming he has not been paid since the start of September.

Molby said: "Andrew is the type of player we need at the moment but that does not necessarily mean he'll be back.

"I've spoken to him a number of times recently, but it's a complicated matter. We'll see what happens."
