POP sensations in the making will be vying for a county award which could set them on the path to stardom.
The title of Worcestershire Pop Icon 2005 is once again up for grabs, with all LEA schools in the county invited to send in entries for the solo and group categories.
Youngsters aged 12 to 18 are encouraged to badger their music teachers for an entry form which they need to fill in and submit to the county council arts education department before the closing date of February 11.
A panel of judges will then be selecting entries for the final which will take place at Malvern's Forum Theatre on March 17, recorded by BBC Radio Hereford and Worcester and with top prizes from Yamaha-Kemble (UK) Ltd.
