INITIAL action in the 2005 Worcester Cricket Board Indoor tournament at Pri-nce Henry's brought success for Overbury and Elm- ley Castle.

Bowlers dominated the ope-ning match and only Jamie Munro was happy with the bat as he, along with 17 wides, helped Overbury reach 90 all out against Ash-ton.

The chasers also found runs hard to come by but having reached 48 for the loss of just one wicket after six overs, Ashton appeared set for victory.

However, the introduction of Baldwin (2-11) and Alex Munro (2-4) proved the turning point as the innings collapsed dramatically and Overbury celebrated a 27-run success.

Elmley Castle had no such trouble with the bat as Ian Woodford and Simon Cooper added 39 against the Box-men, formerly Stanway.

Cooper retired having hit 27 but that brought Will Rollett and Steve Webb to the wicket and the pair raced along a ten an over before they made way for Dai Wheatley and Robin Eaton to continue the run spree and take Castle's total to 134-1.

Webb struck early with the ball before father and son, John and David Lawrence, took the score to 55 when the former was undone by Woo-dford.

Eaton then proceeded to clean up the lower order with his off breaks leaving the Boxmen on 89-3 at the close and Elmley winners by 45 runs.
