PUPILS from North Bromsgrove High School booked their place in the Worcestershire finals after a powerful display of long distance running.
Michelle Vine, Richard Baughan, Katie Orme, Martin Cole, Roy Rickerby, Jason Swift, Ashley Hayward and Amy Rheeston all finished in the top 16 of the Bromsgrove and District finals to qualify.
The intrepid runners will now test their mettle against the best runners in Worcestershire at Nunnery Wood Sports Centre on February 5.
Team manager Dr Barbara Lewis was pleased to see her young charges make it so far.
She said: "They have all worked very hard and done brilliantly to get this far.
"All they can do now is their best at the county stage and see where they finish."
