TRAFFIC was thrown into chaos between Malvern and Worcester on Wednes-day after an accident
Emergency services were called out at 4.18pm following a collision between a white van and a VW Golf car on the A4440 Teme-side Way, between Lower Wick roundabout and the Carrington Bridge.
The driver of the van suffered minor injuries, said police. The VW driver had to be cut free and suffered serious but not life threatening injuries.
The road was closed for about two-and-a-half hours.
Some traffic was diverted along the A38 to cross the river at Upton, where the volume of traffic on the approach to the bridge caused further delays.
