A LOST cat and dog have been reunited with their owners in time for Christmas.
Houdini the cat and Rover, a working sheepdog, are both back home safely.
Pat Merrick, Houdini's owner, is delighted her pet has returned after disappearing for two months.
"All I wanted for Christmas was him back," she said.
The runaway moggy disappeared in October but was found on Monday when a former neighbour called Mrs Merrick, said she had found a cat and asked if she could help contact the Cats' Protection League.
Mrs Merrick went to the house in Wilton Road and discovered the cat was Houdini.
Although he is a bit bewildered to be back home, she said he was eating and settling in well.
Mrs Merrick said she would like to thank everyone who had kept a look out for Houdini.
"Total strangers stopped me in the street to ask after he after reading he was missing in the Malvern Gazette & Ledbury Reporter," she said.
Mrs Merrick said one lady had even put notes through all the doors in her street after spotting a black and white cat.
Rover, a 10-year-old collie, was in a Nissan pick-up truck stolen from a farm near Berrow, Malvern, on Monday, December 13.
He was found roaming on a farm near Bushley, some distance from his home.
