MALVERN'S rail passengers are enjoying a better service from Central Trains, according to figures released by the Strategic Rail Authority.
Between July and September, 2004, 73.4 per cent of Central Trains' services arrived at their destinations on time (arrival within five minutes of advertised time), which is an improvement of 0.5 per cent on the same quarter last year.
Long distance punctuality (arrival within 10 minutes of advertised time) was up by 0.8 per cent.
A National Passenger Survey released at the same time, showed 75 per cent of Central Trains' users were "satisfied" or "very satisfied" with the overall service - an increase of five per cent on last year.
