MALVERN Ladies continued their winning streak and go into the Christmas break six points clear at the top of the Kidderminster and District women's division after this win over Burlish Olympic.

MALVERN LADIES 4, BURLISH OLYMPIC LADIES 0

Malvern took some time to settle but took the lead when a good through ball from Helen Hammond found Natalie Holmes, who beat a defender and squared the ball to Polly Bounds to score in an empty net.

A second goal followed soon after when Emily Prosser held the ball up well and rolled it into the path of Polly Bounds who lifted it over the keeper from 25 yards.

Malvern's defence kept the Burlish forwards at bay, Jenny Shail having a good game in goal and Helen Hammond an excellent game in the heart of the defence.

After half-time Malvern pushed forward for more goals and took a 3-0 lead when Emily Prosser beat two defenders and the goalkeeper to score from an acute angle.

Sarah Rouse made it 4-0 with a deflected shot which looped over the goalkeeper.

Malvern Ladies, who are sponsored by First Floor Flooring and The Soccer Site, resume their fixtures on January 2 against Evesham in the Wyvern Cup.
