THE Beacon Cafe has again become the subject of letters to the Malvern Gazette. The letter by Mr Brook gives the reason why it cannot be built. What would it cost us all today? It is us who usually has to pay for these things.
It takes between 30 minutes to an hour to walk from the Wyche to the Beacon, hopefully most people could manage to do that without starving or dying of thirst.
I have yet to find a caf on any of the mountains of Scotland that I have had the pleasure to climb properly because they are too remote to be profitable.
There is also a question of security, how long would it stay free from vandalism?
