POLICE will patrol areas of Upton in a bid to crackdown on vandalism. At a meeting between mayor Mark Kerrigan and Insp Neville Sheldrick, it was agreed that foot patrols would take place periodically at the cemetery, Gardens Walk and the parish church. This follows several incidents of vandalism at the three locations. Coun Kerrigan said Insp Sheldrick had also agreed to meet him regularly to discuss policing issues in the town.
