FATHER Christmas paid an early visit to children in Upton on Saturday.
A grotto was set up in The Talbot Head Hotel where, assisted by his elves, Santa gave out presents.
Upton Youth Band performed Christmas music outside the High Street venue.
The event was organised by the town's tourism and trade association.
Member Jackie Surtees said that it went smoothly but could have been better attended.
"I think the kids that came enjoyed it," she said. "It's just a shame there weren't many people around to appreciate it all."
Father Christmas also drew the Upton in Bloom committee's Christmas hamper raffle.
This was won by Annie Linden and raised about £350 for the committee.
